Terminal 3 status

The North Concourse of Terminal 3 opened on December 25, 2025, after a trial from December 1. It adds eight gates, D11 to D18. Departing passengers check in and clear security in Terminal 2 and walk on from gate D10; arriving passengers return to Terminal 2 for immigration and baggage (United Daily News, WSP). The main Terminal 3 building and South Concourse are still being built, with completion reported for 2027.

Moving between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2

The landside Skytrain between the terminals stopped running on July 1, 2026, to connect the terminals to Terminal 3, and reports say it will not return. The Skytrain inside the restricted (airside) area keeps running for connecting passengers (Taipei Times, ETtoday). Landside, use either:

  • Airport MRT: free between A12 (T1), A13 (T2) and A14a (Airport Hotel) when you tap an EasyCard, iPASS, credit card or mobile payment at the gates.
  • Terminal shuttle bus: runs 24 hours, about every 15 minutes by day and 20 minutes at night. Terminal 1 stop: under the canopy on Hangzhan South Road by meeting points 4 and 5. Terminal 2 stop: arrival hall, 1F, southeast side, stop 10.

Layout basics

In both terminals, arrivals are on the first floor and departures (check-in) above. The Airport MRT is underground. Transfer counters, duty-free shops and lounges are airside after security. The airport publishes floor maps for each terminal.

Questions travelers ask
